People often think of New York to be a baseball town with all the success the NY Yankees have had in there great & legendary history. But if you ask any real new yorker they will tell you NY is a basketball town, a basketball town that has been quiet since Patrick Ewing era from 1985-2000. But now the NY Knicks have hope cause for the 1st time ever the Knicks have 2 legitimate superstars on there team with the signing this summer of Amar'e Stoudemire and the trade yesterday for Carmelo Anthony. As a Knicks fan i havent been this excited for basketball since the great Ewing leed us to the finals in 1994.

Carmelo Anthony born in the Red Hook projects of Brooklyn NY and moved to Baltimore MD when he was 8 years old is one of the best young player in the NBA at age 26 & now brings his talents back home to NY. i havent seen this city so excited about a trade since the NY Rangers traded for Mark Messier in 1991 who led the Rangers to a Stanley Cup in 1994 which was there first since 1940.

There is no doubt in my mind that with 2 players with the talent and youth and talent that Carmelo Anthony & Amar'e Stoudemire have NY basketball is back in a big way & here to stay.

The New York Knicks are back and its a great thing for the NBA as a whole & a New York Knicks franchise that hasn't won a NBA title since 1973.
Go NY Go NY Go NY Go!!
