Brett Stewart Sterling was born in Los Angeles in 1984. He was not exactly planted in a typical radial point for a young hockey player. But He indeed found his way. Last night scoring a gorgeous top-shelf tally in the 1st period. Scoring this goal against his home town team The Los Angeles Kings. Allotting for some west coast bias: I wanted the Kings to prevail, but there was the utmost satisfaction watching Sterling excel the way he did. And in doing so inspiring the next wave of Southern California talent making it to the next level.

Sterling was quoted after the game:

"Just being in the NHL is obviously a great opportunity, and obviously scoring a goal is huge, and doing it against LA was really cool," Sterling said. "It’s better for all of us, especially the guys that are fighting for positions here."
